River Dance — Blush and Cream, with a Burgundy Heart

There’s nothing quite like the moment ‘River Dance’ opens fully. Soft blush-pink petals, almost luminous at the edges, fade to a creamy white center — and from that center, a deep magenta-burgundy star radiates outward, giving each bloom a painterly precision that stops you mid-room. Six to eight inches across, carried on sturdy 18–24 inch stems, it’s the kind of flower that photographs beautifully and looks even better in person.

These are Dutch field-grown bulbs, harvested in September and cold-cured for a full ten weeks before they’re ready to plant — which means planting should begin no earlier than November 9th. They store exceptionally well, and we ship from November through spring 2027. Not suited for Christmas bloom, ‘River Dance’ is built for something better: a spectacular late-winter or spring flowering, or controlled forcing for cut-flower production. In Zones 9–11 it grows as a perennial; in Zone 8, provide winter protection or lift before frost.
