Planting Your Iris

Plant Portland Pink in a sunny location with excellent drainage. Bearded iris perform best with at least six hours of direct sunlight each day.

Set the rhizome shallowly, leaving the upper portion at or slightly above the soil surface rather than burying it deeply.

Water thoroughly after planting to help establish new roots. Once established, avoid keeping the soil consistently wet.
